Femi Osho, open source enthusiast, makes the case that knowing the hardware topology your workload runs on matters for efficient resource allocation. Session 2: Running AI Workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service Salman Iqbal, Solutions Architect at Appvia, takes apart the assumption that GPU workloads are simple to deploy. Deploy a container, request a GPU, done — except that's not the full picture. The session covers what actually happens inside AKS: schedulers, device plugins, drivers and container runtimes. It then moves on to the practical problem platform teams hit daily: sharing expensive GPU hardware across multiple applications using time-slicing and hardware partitioning. No prior Kubernetes or GPU knowledge required.

Yorkshire Azure User Group has been running monthly events across South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire since its early days, and this is their 46th meetup.
