Product Assembly's Lunchtime Lean Coffee runs for one hour at Channel 4's headquarters in the Majestic building, City Square, on Wednesday 1 July 2026, 12:00–13:00 BST. The format is Lean Coffee: no pre-set agenda. Attendees pitch topics at the start, the group votes on what to discuss, and the conversation follows from there. Channel 4 supply the coffee, tea and nibbles.
The session is aimed at anyone working in or around product: product managers, product owners, UX designers, user researchers, delivery managers, business analysts, agile coaches, scrum masters and founders. It runs over a lunch break, so no evening commitment required. Hosted by Annie M. from Product Assembly.
This is a spin-off from Product Assembly's main programme of talks and workshops, designed to keep the Leeds product community talking between larger events. Channel 4 are co-hosting as part of their effort to connect with the grassroots tech community in Leeds, where they relocated their headquarters to the Majestic building. The collaboration gives attendees a rare chance to meet inside one of the city's more prominent tech-adjacent employers while keeping the format deliberately informal.
Product Assembly has been building the Leeds product community through regular meetups, bringing together practitioners across product management, design and delivery. The Lunchtime Lean Coffee format is a lighter-touch addition to that programme — shorter, more conversational, and easier to fit around a working day. If you have reserved a place and can no longer attend, the organiser asks that you let them know as soon as possible so the spot can go to someone else.
Why attend
The Lean Coffee format means the agenda is set by whoever turns up. If you have a problem you want to think through with peers, or you want to hear what others are wrestling with, this is a practical use of a lunch hour.
Channel 4's Majestic building is two minutes from Leeds train station. The event is free, runs exactly one hour, and covers product management, design, delivery and adjacent disciplines. It is a good way to meet Leeds product people outside the usual evening-meetup circuit.
