Product Assembly's Lunchtime Lean Coffee runs for one hour at Channel 4's headquarters in the Majestic building, City Square, on Wednesday 1 July 2026, 12:00–1:00 PM BST. The format is Lean Coffee: no pre-set agenda. Attendees pitch topics at the start, the group votes on what to discuss, and the conversation follows from there. Coffee, tea and nibbles are provided.

The session is open to anyone working in or around product: product managers, product owners, UX designers, user researchers, delivery managers, business analysts, agile coaches, scrum masters, heads of product and delivery, and founders. It runs over the lunch hour, so no need to take time off. Hosted by Annie M. from Product Assembly, it's a deliberately low-key format — bring a question, a half-formed idea, or just curiosity about what other people in Leeds are working on.

This is a spin-off from Product Assembly's regular talks and workshops, designed to keep the community connected between the bigger events. Channel 4 is co-hosting: their Leeds HQ has been in the Majestic since the broadcaster relocated its headquarters to the city, and they're using events like this to build ties with Leeds' grassroots tech and product scene. For anyone who hasn't been inside the Majestic before, it's a decent excuse to see the building.

Why attend

The Lean Coffee format means the conversation goes where the room wants it to go. If you've got a problem you're stuck on, you can put it to a table of experienced product and design people. If you just want to hear what others are dealing with, that works too.

It's free, it's an hour, and it's at lunchtime — the barrier to showing up is low. Channel 4's involvement means the venue is worth the trip on its own. Product Assembly draws from across the Leeds product community, so it's a practical way to meet people outside your immediate team or company.
