Context driven AI Agents

Leeds Data Science Meetup returns on Tuesday 14 July 2026 at Enablis, 1 York Place, LS1 2DR — note the venue change from previous months. The session runs 18:00–20:00 BST and centres on a single talk: "Context Driven AI Agents" by Shubhangi Goyal, Data & AI Lead with nearly a decade of experience across data analytics, data science and AI.

Goyal's talk moves past single-prompt interactions and into the architecture that makes agents actually useful in production. She covers context engineering — how agents manage memory, tools and tasks to adapt their behaviour — alongside LLM feedback loops, how prompt engineering fits into a larger system, and the real-world pitfalls that trip up teams when they first deploy AI agents. The session closes with a concrete use case. Takeaways are practical: attendees leave with a clearer mental model of agent architecture and a list of failure modes to watch for.

The format is a single 70-minute talk preceded by refreshments from 18:00. Food is served on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is free to attend.

Leeds Data Science Meetup is organised under the umbrella of Jumping Rivers, a Leeds-based data science consultancy. The group has been running regular meetups for the Leeds data and analytics community for several years, drawing practitioners from academia, startups and enterprise.
