Code and Coffee

Code and Coffee is a weekly informal gathering in Leeds city centre, held every Tuesday morning from 8am to 9am at La Bottega Milanese on Bond Court. There is no agenda, no talks, no structured activity. People turn up, order a coffee, and get on with whatever they feel like — a hobby project, a tutorial, a conversation about what someone else is building, or simply the caffeine required to function before work.

The format is deliberately loose. Attendees might bring a laptop and hack on something personal, pair up with whoever is sitting nearby, or just talk tech over a flat white. The group is open to anyone: people learning to code for the first time are as welcome as those who have been doing it professionally for years. There is no skill threshold, no sign-up form to complete on the day, and no expectation that you produce anything.

Code and Coffee Leeds is hosted by Matt R. and runs every single week, which makes it one of the more consistent fixtures in the Leeds tech calendar. Most meetups in the city are monthly at best; this one happens 52 times a year.
