Radar Healthcare builds a governance, risk and compliance platform aimed squarely at health and social care organisations. The core problem it addresses is straightforward: incidents, audits, complaints, risks and actions typically live in separate systems or spreadsheets, which makes it hard to spot early warning signs or demonstrate improvement to regulators. The platform pulls all of that data together so teams can identify patterns before they become serious problems.

The product covers eight main areas: incident management, audit management, risk management, action and improvement plans, document management, workforce compliance, healthcare analytics and digital consent. The digital consent module came via the 2025 acquisition of EIDO Healthcare, which Radar Healthcare describes as the gold standard in that space.

Customers include Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust, North Bristol NHS Trust, Bupa, HC-One, Circle Health Group, Ramsay Health Care, Cleveland Clinic and Emirates Health Services. The platform was the first to integrate with the NHS Learning from Patient Safety Events (LFPSE) system, going live with Milton Keynes University Hospitals NHS FT.

In 2023 Radar Healthcare triggered automatic retrieval of variance data from the Cerner electronic patient record system for Emirates Health Services — removing manual data entry and enabling continuous improvement analysis across the whole organisation. That same year the company established Radar Healthcare Inc to enter the US market, picking up customers across children's hospitals, senior living, hospices and community services.

The company also runs the What the HealthTech? podcast, now into its fourth season with more than 80 episodes and 13,000 downloads.

Radar Healthcare is registered and headquartered at Avenue HQ, 10–12 East Parade, Leeds LS1 2BH, in the city centre. The legal entity is Smartgate Solutions Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 08335617.

Founded in 2012, the company spent its first years building out the platform before landing its first NHS Foundation Trust customer in 2019/2020. Private equity firm Marlin invested at the end of 2024, providing the capital behind the EIDO Healthcare acquisition in 2025. The company has been recognised as a Great Place to Work and listed among the Best Places to Work in Tech.

The scale figures give a sense of where it sits in the healthtech market: 17,000 locations, 165,000 active monthly users and 1.7 million events created on the platform in the past year alone. For a company that started with a laptop balanced on a tin of Roses chocolates, that is a meaningful footprint.
